Sporting Safaris Scotland have a set price for our pigeon shooting days. As the woodpigeon is a wild bird there can be no guarantees of large bags every day. We will try our utmost to provide our clients with the best sport possible.
There is no excess charge with us if you have a red letter day or shoot over 250 shells.
Booking a day with Sporting Safaris Scotland
The most commonly question us pigeon shooting guides get asked is, How many pigeons will i kill? well it all depends on many things, first is how good a shot are you? How well can you hide and your speed and reaction to the decoyed birds. The weather on the day play's a huge part in how willing the pigeons are to fly and feed.
Please also bear in mind when booking a day or two with us your not only paying for a days pigeon shooting but your paying for the day before you arrive. Firstly i spend the day before you arrive looking around all my ground to find the best place for you to shoot. This entails me going around in my jeep and a pair binoculars. This can mean driving anything up to a round trip of 100 mile.
Sporting Safaris Scotland try and supply all clients with the best chance possible to shoot as many pigeons as they can while shooting with us. We always try our best but cant guarantee any bag numbers or the amount of sheel's you will fire on any one day. The most importing thing to remember when you book a day with us the pigeon is a wild bird.
Format of a day's pigeon shooting with Sporting Safaris Scotland
Once you have booked your day or two with us at Sporting Safaris Scotland i will contact you the evening before your day's shooting to arrange a meeting place or a time if your staying in one of our hote's. The time will vary depending on what time of year your shooting at spring or summer. In spring we start early to catch them on the first feed and finsh early. While in summer we start a little later and call it a day in the eveing at about 6-7 o'clock the pigeons pefer to feed late in the eveing in summer time hence the late end to the day.
Upon meeting you will follow me in your own transport to the choose area on which you will be shooting. As the may not just consist of just you or your group, it might take a little while to get everything set up. Once everyone is set up you will be left to enjoy your sport i will check and contact you throught the day to make sure all is well.
