Over the past three to four years Sporting Safaris Scotland have had access to top quality duck ponds in the central and east of Scotland areas. All duck ponds are on good quality farmland. All ducks are wild and every effort is made to make sure that clients have a very good shooting experience.

Clients can expect to shoot around 20 to 30 ducks on any night and they may be mallard, widgeon, teal and pintail.

Every evening the ducks come to the ponds from their roosting lochs to feed. The ducks are attracted to the ponds by the large amount of food there. Sporting Safaris Scotland feed their ponds every couple of days and shooting takes place only once every two weeks. This ensures that both food and ducks are plentiful.
Shooting takes place in the evening and the clients are strategically placed around the pond's). The guide will call the ducks into range for the clients to shoot. The evening will be called off when the guide determines it is not longer possible to continue safe shooting.
